Description

A delightful shrimp dish featuring a harmonious balance of honey and garlic for a sweet and savory flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat, chopped scallions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  2. Add the cleaned shrimp to the mixture and toss gently to coat. Allow marinating for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once shimmering, carefully add the marinated shrimp, reserving the marinade.
  4. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until opaque and cooked through. Reduce heat, add reserved marinade, and let simmer for an additional minute to thicken.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped scallions if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

Enjoy with steamed jasmine rice or quinoa to soak up the sauce. Leftovers can be stored for up to three days in an airtight container.
